A Day In My Life As A College Student
The real struggle as a student is to wake up early in the morning, performing the Fajr prayer, and getting ready for class. I am very grateful that I do not have to compete for the use of the bathroom with other students because I do not stay at the hostel, instead, I live at home. My home is not far from my college, so I drive to class every day since I already have my driver’s license. When I arrive at my college, I go to class and start my learning as usual. After my classes are done, I pray my Zuhur and Asar prayers and drive back home. I usually rest when I get home and start doing my work at night, so I always do my assignments after Isyak prayer. Doing all the assignments alone is not easy, but I try to do my best and finish all my work within the dateline while getting enough sleep. At the same time, I try not to overwork myself because it's not good for my physical and mental health. My life as a college student is challenging, but with the support from my loved ones, nothing can stop me from achieving success in my life.
Current Event Or Social Issue That Matters To You
Last month was important to me because August is my birthday month. We’re not from a poor family, so we could afford to celebrate my birthday at a fancy restaurant if we wanted to. However, I don’t like celebrating events at fancy restaurants. I’d prefer to spend time with my precious family, enjoy a simple, delicious cake at home, and watch my favorite movie together. It would be even better if my friends could join us. I even had the chance to see my favorite teacher from elementary school, which made it even more special❤️. So yeah, it was probably the best month ever. (But sorry, I’m not going to post the photo of us.🙂( ̄︶ ̄)↗ )
Reflect On Your Recent Accomplishment
I have one thing that I really love to do. It’s a simple activity, but it really calms my mind. If I could, I would draw for 24 hours straight. Yes, the activity I’m referring to is drawing. I don’t know why, but ever since I was a kid, drawing has always suited me. I still remember drawing my favorite characters from cartoons when I was in elementary school. However, now I find that I no longer know how to draw a human as perfectly as I used to. So, for now, I just draw random things like food, animals, or other small objects. When I try to draw a human at my current skill level, it often ends up looking like a robot. As a result, I’ve stopped drawing humans. Moreover, I think I’ve upgraded my drawing skills to pixel art. I print my own grid paper and draw various pixel art designs on it. This is one of my recent accomplishments. To be honest, my drawings might not look as impressive as others’, but I’m learning to appreciate my own work and not compare it to others(~ ̄▽ ̄)~.
A Place You Have Always Wanted To Visit
Konnichiwa. Watashi wa Syahirah desu. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
I think you can tell right away where I have always wanted to go after reading that. The place that I have always wanted to go to is Japan. For me, Japan is a unique country with many interesting things, such as cherry blossom trees, vending machines that sell cakes and ramen, and what fascinates me the most about Japan is the giant Gundam statue located in Yokohama. I do not watch Gundam, but knowing the statue's existence made me want to visit Japan so I can see it in person, rather than just viewing it on a screen. Lastly, the most important thing to do when I'm in Japan, of course I need to try all the halal foods in Japan^0^.
Memorable Moment From Your Childhood
I used to wake up early in the morning, not to get ready for school, but to watch Pingu. Back when I was in kindergarten, I would get up early just to catch my favorite show, Pingu. I’m sure many of you are familiar with Pingu, a show that brings a strong sense of nostalgia. Even now, I still watch Pingu on YouTube. Although the new version isn’t as good as the original, I’m glad I can still enjoy my favorite show. Another notable mention is the three small animals, a hamster, a duck, and a turtle, who always work together to rescue other animals in trouble. If you can’t guess which show this refers to, it means your childhood is incomplete. Wonder Pets features the adventures of these three small friends, saving animals in need whenever their bell alerts them. The leader is Linny the hamster, and his two assistant friends are Tuck the turtle and Ming-Ming the duck.
